At whatever level you play sport, injury can strike. It may be acute, as in a fall or twist, or chronic, as a result of practising the same movement over and over.

Many sports injuries happen when people try to do too much, too quickly, especially after a long period of inactivity. We recommend that you also seek the advice of a coach or instructor who is accredited by the governing body of your sport. They will know the right level of training and competition for your age and fitness.
